LinguaAI ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of data to provide and improve LinguaAI:
- Account Information: Username, email address, encrypted password, and subscription status.
- Usage and Learning Data: Learning progress, vocabulary statistics, lesson activity, test results, and feature usage needed to operate the service.
- Audio Data: Voice recordings and speech input that you choose to submit for live voice practice, pronunciation analysis, and speech transcription.
- AI Prompt Data: Text you type into AI chat, translations, stories, lessons, and other AI-powered features, plus related learning context such as your selected level, correction mode, or lesson prompt.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your data is used solely to:
- Provide personalized language exercises, AI conversations, and feedback.
- Track and restore your learning progress.
- Generate speech transcription, pronunciation feedback, AI replies, stories, lessons, and AI voice playback.
- Process subscriptions and in-app purchases via RevenueCat and the app stores.
3. AI and Third-Party Services
LinguaAI relies on trusted third-party providers to operate key features:
- OpenAI: Used for AI chat, translations, stories, lesson generation, speech transcription, pronunciation-related processing, and AI voice playback. When you use these features, the text, audio, and related prompt context needed to generate the requested result are sent to OpenAI for processing. We use OpenAI API services, which by default do not use submitted customer API data to train OpenAI models.
- RevenueCat: Used to manage subscriptions and in-app purchases. We do not store your credit card information.
4. In-App AI Consent
Before a user can access LinguaAI's AI-powered features, the app presents an in-app disclosure that clearly explains:
- what categories of text, audio, and learning context may be sent,
- that the data is sent to OpenAI,
- why the data is sent, and
- that the user must agree before continuing to AI-powered features.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and progress data while your account is active. You can request account deletion within the app settings. Certain billing or compliance records may be retained where required by law.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of LinguaAI. By using the app, you agree to these terms.
1. Service
LinguaAI provides AI-powered English learning features including chat, pronunciation practice, stories, lessons, translations, and vocabulary tools.
2. AI Processing
Certain LinguaAI features rely on OpenAI to process text, audio, and related learning context in order to generate AI responses, transcriptions, feedback, and voice output. Users are shown an in-app disclosure and must agree before using those AI-powered features.
3. Subscriptions and Credits
LinguaAI offers an auto-renewable monthly subscription and optional one-time AI credit purchases. Subscription pricing and included credits are shown in the app before purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to disrupt the app, reverse engineer protected systems, or use LinguaAI in violation of applicable law.
5. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activities that occur under your account.
